Highfield South Farnham has once again received an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted.

Inspectors picked out for special praise the “caring and nurturing” community and “culture of ambition and high aspiration that permeates the school”.

This culture leads to high expectations for all, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

Gregory West, headteacher, congratulated staff and pupils for their work and said the rating ”affirms our belief that every child deserves the very best education and it is a testament to our collective efforts in making that belief a reality”.

Highfield South Farnham was established following the closure of the struggling Pilgrims Way School in 2014.

In the Department for Education’s 2022/23 tables based on Key Stage Two SATs results, Highfield South Farnham was the seventh highest-performing school in Surrey, with 86 per cent of pupils meeting the expected standard for reading, writing and maths and 13 per cent achieving greater depth.
